Animal Control: The Hero’s Apprentice by, Travis Howe.

I was kindly sent an ARC of this book by the author, Travis Howe, in exchange for an honest review.

I was so excited when Travis contacted me to review Animal Control, The Hero’s Apprentice, and I was not disappointed. It’s beautifully illustrated and written extremely well. I found myself rooting for Jack right from the beginning. I was fully immersed into the story with Travis’ writing style. I felt like I was running alongside Jack and his friends, experiencing all of the emotions of all the characters.
Animal Control will have you on the edge of your seat, waiting to find out what will happen next to Jack and his friends.
You will be laughing one minute and feeling heartbroken the next, but don’t worry, it has a happy ending.

This book is aimed at children aged 8-12. The book will have them hooked from the very first page as it’s full of adventure, with lovable heroes and evil villains. What more could a young adult want from a book?

It has a very strong message running throughout the book – no matter how big or small you are, you can achieve anything you put your mind to – whilst also showing that team work is extremely important.

This book reminded me a little of the old Disney animated series, DuckTales, and also a little bit of Harry Potter.

It would be great to see this turned into a TV series or a movie in the future as I think it would appeal to all audiences.

I can’t wait to read more by this author and also for my little girl to be old enough so I can introduce her to the world of Animal Control.

I highly recommend this book to anyone aged 8 and up. It’s just a feel good read that will bring hours of entertainment into any home.
